Mini excavator track shedding improvement measures

For mass-produced products, there is a close relationship between the rationality of its structure and process and cost control, which requires designers to consider the impact of structure and process on cost while optimizing design.

Common optimization design methods include simplification, deletion, merge, and transformation. When implementing optimization, you need to pay attention to: delete the function of a part, consider the difference before and after deletion; To integrate the functions of a part, consider the difference before and after integration; Whether the design, shape and tolerance can be changed, whether the shape can be simplified, whether the material can be reduced, whether the groove can be canceled and the tolerance relaxed; Is it possible to change it

Use standard parts to improve the versatility of parts; Whether the machining process of the part can be optimized, whether machining can be eliminated or new materials can be used, whether there are cheaper parts for the same function, etc.

Improvement measures

The track falls off and the excavator cannot be excavated, causing significant losses to the customer, and certain measures must be taken to improve it. In view of the phenomenon of low hardness of track links, by improving the heat treatment process of track links, the track holding time is increased, the metallographic structure of the links is improved, and the hardness value of the links is increased, so that the hardness value of the links reaches 50~55HRC.

In view of the serious wear of the track pin shaft and the deformation and falling off of the track, the distribution position of the roller can be improved when designing the four-wheel belt, so that the adjacent three track pin shafts avoid contacting the roller at the same time, reduce the pressure of the pin shaft, reduce the wear of the pin shaft, and extend the service life of the track.

A short introduction

In 2015, Gator Track was founded with the help of rich experienced engineers. Our first track was built on 8th, March, 2016.  For the total built 50 containers in 2016, so far only 1 claim for 1 pc.

As a brand new factory, we have all brand new toolings for most of the sizes for excavator tracks, loader tracks, dumper tracks, ASV tracks and rubber pads. Most recently we’ve added a new production line for snow mobile tracks and robot tracks. Through tear and sweat, happy to see we are growing.
